Halong

The most famous thing in Halong are the hundreds of islands, and that's it. So if you plan to go to Halong, it's OK if you only stay for two days. But what you need to do, is to book a boattour. We booked our tour at our Hostel to safe a bit money. They say, that there are cheap boats and VIP super luxury boats. But in the end, we just saw the same kind of boats in the bays. Make sure you don't pay more than 500'000 Dong each person. We heard, that a lot of people on our boat paied twice as much.
The tour starts early in the morning. You drive to the harbor by bus and then you explore the beautiful islands by boat. You see some of the famous stone island like the stone dog or the fighting cocks. Then you will go to a huge cave. It's very interesting how nature build this all by itself! After this short break, you will get food on the boat and then you will go to the monkey bay by a bamboo rowboat. Sometimes you can see real wild monkeys here, but we saw nothing. I think the whole thing is way too touristic and the monkeys only come out when nobody is there. Then you visit Titop island, where you can climb up the mountain (424 steps up) and take some beautiful picture or you can swim in the sea, sunbath on the seashore or play volleyball with other tourists.
In the end we have to say, it's very very nice to see the nature and the turquoise ocean, but don't expect too much. It's veeery touristic and the stuff is very unfriendly. It's a touristic mass production. But still, those islands are a must see at Halong.
After this boattrip we went to the new built amusement park. The Dragon Park has its opening 3 month ago and it's so cool, because you are almost the only one at the whole park. No wait in line. Just imagin that! That's a childs dream comming true! We had so much fun there!

Das berühmteste an Halong sind die hunderte von Inseln, und das wars dann auch schon. Wenn ihr also plant nach Halong zu gehen, ist es Ok wenn ihr nur zwei Tage bleibt. Was ihr aber unbedingt machen müsst, ist eine Bootstour zu buchen. Wir haben unsere Tour durch unser Hostel gebucht, um etwas Geld zu sparen. Man sagt, dass es günstige Boote und VIP super luxuriöse Boote gibt. Aber schlussendlich haben wir nur die gleiche Bootsart in den Buchten gesehen. Schaut, dass ihr nicht mehr als 500'000 Dong pro Person bezahlt. Wir hörten, dass viele Leute auf unserem Boot das doppelte bezahlt haben.
Die Tour beginnt früh morgens. Man fährt mit dem Bus zum Hafen und dann entdeckt man mit dem Boot die wunderschönen Inseln. Man sieht einige der berühmten Steininseln wie zum Beispiel den steinernen Hund oder die kämpfenden Hähne. Dann geht man zu einer riesigen Höhle. Es ist sehr interessant wie das alles von der Natur geschaffen wurde! Nach diesem kleinen Zwischenstopp bekommt man auf dem Boot Mittagessen, danach geht man mit dem Bambus Ruderboot zum Monkey Bay. Manchmal kann man hier wilde Affen sehen, aber wir sahen nichts. Ich denke das ganze ist viel zu touristisch und die Affen kommen nur, wenn niemand da ist. Dann gehts weiter zur Titop Insel, wo man den Berg erklimmen kann (424 Stufen) und einige wundervolle Fotos machen kann, oder ihr schwimmt im Meer, geht Sonnenbaden am Strand oder spielt Volleyball mit anderen Touristen.
Schlussendlich können wir dazu sagen, dass es wirklich sehr sehr schön ist, die Natur und das türkise Meer zu sehen, aber erwartet nicht zu viel. Es ist seeehr touristisch und die Angestellten sind sehr unfreundlich. Es ist eine touristische Massenproduktion. Aber dennoch, diese Inseln muss man in Halong unbedingt gesehen haben!
Nach diesem Bootstrip gingen wir zum neu erbauten Freizeitpark. Der Dragon Park wurde vor 3 Monaten eröffnet und ist so cool, weil  man fast alleine ist im ganzen Park. Kein Schlange stehen. Stellt euch das mal vor! Das ist ein Kindheitstraum der wahr wird! Wir hatten so viel Spass dort!
